Fortis Energy—an integral part of UCK Holding—is an international renewable energy investor with operations in Europe.Since commencing its energy production activities in 2014, Fortis Energy has strategically expanded its investments across the Balkans, the Netherlands and Türkiye.
Across Southeast Europe, Fortis Energy’s portfolio generates a combined annual total of 490 GWh of clean electricity. This output is driven by its solar power plants, which generate 300 GWh annually from a total installed capacity of 190 MWp. In addition to this portfolio, five biogas power plants operating at full capacity in Türkiye and Serbia generate over 190 GWh of energy annually with a total installed capacity of 21 MWe. These advanced facilities also contribute to organic fertilizer production, with long-term plans to upgrade biogas for biomethane production.
Fortis manages the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects—from permitting and licensing through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning—utilizing its extensive in-house resources. Land development, excavation, and construction are executed by specialized teams using modern equipment, while steel structure manufacturing is conducted at Fortis’s own facilities. Post-commissioning, operation, maintenance, monitoring, and security services are delivered by Fortis O&M team specializing in remote automation and advanced facility management.
Fortis undertakes turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects for wind, solar, and biogas power plants across Europe. The company’s total completed project portfolio, including 211 MW of owned power plants and 341 MW of EPC installation experience, exceeds 552 MW. In Türkiye, Fortis is also engaged in project development for geothermal energy and green hydrogen investments. Furthermore, the company actively participates in the electric vehicle sector, operating over 100 charging stations under the Fortis Charge brand.
With an impressive 1.8+ GW development portfolio across Central and Eastern Europe, Fortis Energy is shaping the future of renewable energy. This pipeline consists solar and wind projects—comprising 559 MWp in Albania (SPP), 1,049.4 MW in Serbia (540 MWp SPP and 509.4 MWe WPP), 170 MWp in Kosovo (SPP), and 41 MWp in North Macedonia (SPP)—complemented by an integrated 510 MW BESS (energy storage) development across the region. The company’s long-term vision is to become a leading player in the European renewable energy sector, promote sustainable solutions, and contribute to a cleaner future.
Uniquely positioned to deliver complex Green Baseload projects, Fortis Energy’s end-to-end capabilities, including dedicated teams, specialized machinery, and in-house expertise, provide comprehensive solutions that enable efficiency and excellence at every stage of an integrated renewable power plant.
