Fortis Energy has commissioned the first of two LiDAR systems supplied by ZX Lidars, expanding its measurement fleet at the future Gornjak Wind Power Plant (194.4 MWe). This follows the installation and commissioning of the GORNJAK MM03 meteorological mast in March 2026.
The procurement, installation and commissioning of the system were carried out with the technical and logistical support of New Energy Solutions, which will also manage the collection and processing of all measurement data throughout the campaign.
The deployment was led by Aleksandar Nikolić on behalf of Fortis Energy and Ivan Ilić on behalf of New Energy Solutions, with coordination across all parties in line with international standards for wind resource assessment.
Installation of the second LiDAR system is scheduled within the coming weeks. Once operational, it will complete the measurement infrastructure at the site, providing full data coverage for the Gornjak WPP measurement campaign and supporting the continued development of the project.
