Fortis Energy participated in the RES SERBIA 2025 conference.

Fortis Energy participated in the RES SERBIA 2025 conference, organized by OIE Srbija and held on 17-18 September 2025 in Vrdnik, where it was also featured as a gold sponsor. The conference, which focused on the green energy transition in Southeast Europe, brought together policymakers, investors and industry representatives from the region.

Opening remarks were delivered by distinguished speakers, including Miloš Colić (CEO, New Energy Solutions), Dušan Živković (General Director, EPS), Matteo Colangeli (Regional Head of the Western Balkans, EBRD), Plamena Halacheva (Deputy Head, EU Delegation to Serbia) and Jelena Matejić (General Manager, EMS).

Fortis Energy was represented by a senior delegation: M.Burak Uckardes (Chairman) , Hakki Baris KARACA (Group CBDO), Nikola Oklobdžija (CEE CEO), Dejan Simic (Director of Engineering), Nevena Virijevic (Head of Project Development) and Velimir Gavrilovic (Head of Trading) as well as local team in Serbia. As part of the program, CEE CEO Nikola Oklobdžija joined the panel discussion “Implementation of RES Projects – from Permits to Construction,” where he shared Fortis Energy’s regional experience and investment outlook, highlighting the critical role of public–private collaboration in driving sustainable growth.

The conference, marked by high-level attendance, addressed the challenges and investment opportunities presented by the energy transition. Fortis Energy's support for the conference demonstrated the Fortis's commitment to the Serbian market and the region's green transition goals.
