Fortis Energy sponsors the RES SERBIA 2025 conference, the leading regional event focusing on the green energy transition in Southeast Europe. Taking place on September 17th and 18th in Vrdnik, the conference is organized by the Association Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia (OIE Srbija), of which Fortis is a member, and held under the auspices of the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia. Our Eastern Europe CEO, Nikola Oklobdžija, will be a panelist at the conference.
The conference will bring together the region’s top voices in renewable energy. It provides a crucial platform to discuss key topics, including the integration of large-scale renewable projects, accelerating investments, and ensuring a smart and just energy transition. Speakers include high-level representatives from the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), Elektromreža Srbije (EMS), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and leading industry players.
Fortis's commitment to the Serbian market is demonstrated by its substantial and growing project portfolio. Fortis is actively developing projects totaling 509.4 MWe of wind power and 540 MWp of solar power. In addition, Fortis has a 2 MWe biogas power plant in operation.
